Dr Adejumoke Adeyemi | Periodontitis – Impact on systemic health and need for action | Periodontitis significantly impacts oral and over all health of affected individuals potentially leading to bone loss, tooth loss and significant systemic health complications with financial consequences. There is a need for all healthcare professionals , policy makers and various stakeholders to be aware of the disease and its impact on over all health of affected individuals and their quality of life. This lecture would also provide an overview of management strategies based on the 2017 world workshop classification of periodontal diseases and S3 guidelines that have been developed. | 1.
