Professor Leung is the Foundation Head of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) School of Dentistry. With the support of the Irish Government, he launched the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme for RCSI in 2025, the first new undergraduate dentistry programme in Ireland for over a century. He qualified in dentistry at Dundee University (BDS), holds an LLM from Cardiff University, an MA from King’s College London, and a PhD from Portsmouth University. He is a Fellow in General Dental Surgery of RCSI, a Fellow in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, a Fellow in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, a Fellow of the College of General Dentistry, and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. Professor Leung publishes widely in dental education and restorative dental practice. He has an extensive successful international leadership portfolio across three continents. He was formerly Professor of Dental Education, Head of Continuing Professional Development, and Director of the Restorative Dental Practice Programme at UCL Eastman Dental Institute, and successfully supervised over 100 Master’s dissertations. Professor Leung served as Dean of the RCSI Faculty of Dentistry from 2020 to 2023.He guided the Faculty through critical timely innovations and initiatives, which facilitated global remote deliveries of Continuing Professional Development programmes, and uninterrupted novel, International postgraduate dentistry examinations during and following the pandemic. He is a longstanding Academic Lead and Chief Examiner for the General Dental Council Overseas Registration Examination (ORE), and Chairs the ORE2 Board. He has achieved international distinction, including receipt of the Association of Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) Mature Career Dental Educator Award in 2017.

Professor Fortune is a Professor of Medicine in relation to Oral Health. She is Director of Centre for Immunobiology and Regenerative Medicine, Director of London Behçet's Centre of Excellence and Senior Fellow Queen Mary Policy Institute. She graduated in both Dentistry and Medicine from University College, London., and obtained PhD at UMDS (United Medical Schools of Guys and St Thomas) London. She is on the Specialist registers: Oral Medicine in Dentistry (GDC), Immunology in Medicine (GMC). 2002 she gained the position of Professor of Medicine in Relation to Oral Health at Queen Mary University of London Her research focus is in epithelial biology, including mucosal disease and oral cancer. With an interest and expertise in Behçet's disease.

Dr Acheampong has enjoyed a diverse clinical career spanning over 30 years. He served as a Clinical Teacher and Supervisor at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in the UK between 2004 and 2010. He is a past examiner of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He holds masters qualifications in both Dental lmplantology and Medical Law, and is well positioned to provide expert advice in respect of dental negligence claims. He currently combines teaching undergraduate students at University of Ghana Dental School with providing implants for patients both in Ghana and at his own dental practice in South East London UK.

Dr Clement Seeballuck is a Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Dundee. He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin in 2009, worked in General Practice for 5 years before transitioning to Hospital Dentistry. He undertook Core Trainee posts in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative Dentistry and Paediatric Dentistry. He has been a Clinical Lecturer at Dundee since 2015 and has presented at numerous national and international conferences and has published on a variety of topics. Clement is passionate about initiatives that address inequality and has a keen interest in frugal, innovative teaching methods. He strongly believes in empowering students and is an advocate of a co-creation approach to teaching. Dr Seeballuck has received multiple awards relevant to his clinical practice and teaching, including the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) Excellence in Dental Education: Early Educator Award, and two NHS Gold Star Awards. He received his fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons Faculty of Dental Trainers in 2023 and to the Higher Education Authority in 2024. He is currently undertaking a PhD on the evaluation of remote training tools that simulate clinical skills.
Dr. Kwabena Gyaami Amoah is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Orthodontics and Paedodontics at the University of Ghana Dental School, Accra, He is a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists, the International College of Dentists, and the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Amoah is extensively involved in the clinical supervision and training of both undergraduate and postgraduate dental students. He holds several key administrative and academic roles within the university, including serving on the Academic Boards of the College of Health Sciences and the University of Ghana. Additionally, he contributes to quality assurance and institutional development as a member of the Committee for New Promotion Guidelines and the School Management Committee. His research interests and publications focus on orthodontics and pediatric dental health in the Ghanaian context, including malocclusion prevalence, tooth size calculations, and the impact of systemic conditions like sickle cell anemia on dental development. Dr. Amoah is the current Secretary of the Ghana Society of Orthodontists and has presented his work at numerous international forums, including the International Orthodontic Congress. He also serves as an editor for the West African Journal of Orthodontics and the International Journal of Orofacial Myology.

Dr. Mamta Thadani is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Orthodontics and Paedodontics at the University of Ghana Dental School, Accra, where she also serves as the Head of the Paediatric Dentistry Unit. She is also the Examinations Officer for the Dental School, playing a key role in coordinating and maintaining quality assurance for undergraduate and postgraduate assessment processes. Dr. Thadani is actively involved in teaching, clinical supervision, and training of dental students and residents, particularly in pediatric dentistry. She has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in international and regional journals on topics including pediatric oral health trends in Ghana, dental age estimation using the Demirjian method, periodontal conditions in children, oral manifestations of systemic diseases, and innovative teaching approaches in dental education. Dr. Thadani is also the President of the ‘Association of Paediatric Dentists of Ghana’. She has participated in international academic conferences and professional development programs, including the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry Congress, and continues to advance dental education and pediatric oral health research in Ghana.

Dr Christopher Vondee had been a dental surgeon for over 30 years, practicing general dentistry with a focus on periodontology, implantology (prosthetics), oral surgery, and vast expertise treating both adults and children under sedation. He has run multiple practices. He serves on the London Local Dental Committee as a representative for Lewisham dentists and sat on the steering group board for Lewisham Primary Care Trust. Dr Vondee served as a member of the Dental Commissioning Board, for Sedation Care Pathways in the London Local Government. He also served on an advisory committee to design the consent form for NHS dental treatment for the Department of Health. Dr Josiah Eyeson is a specialist in Oral Surgery. He is Consultant in Oral Surgery at University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust – Eastman Dental Hospital since 2009 and an Honorary Associate Professor at University College, London. He is also a Consultant in Oral Surgery at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust He was the Clinical Lead for Oral Surgery at the Eastman Dental Hospital for over 11 years and has been the lead trainer for the NHS Oral Surgery Specialty Registrar training programme at the Eastman since 2009. He completed his higher specialist training programme in Academic Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kings College and Guys & St Thomas’ Hospitals in 2009. He has clinical and research interests in the management of patients at risk of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaws and osteoradionecrosis. He is interested in and practices across the broad spectrum of Oral Surgery and aspects of Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr Adeyemi is a dental surgeon who obtained her dental degree in 1999 and a master's degree in 2003. She pursued a PhD at the University of Liverpool, where she was awarded Overseas Research Student and University of Liverpool awards (2004-2007). She later became a Clinical Teacher and Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry, and was awarded a NIHR Clinical Lectureship in Periodontology in 2013. She has been actively involved in teaching undergraduate dental students and postgraduate dental doctoral programs, leading periodontology teaching and assuming various academic and administrative roles. Dr Adeyemi’s research interests include Dental and Interprofessional Medical Education and Clinical Dentistry. She is the founding lead for the Periodontic Haptic Research Working Group and has published research in various journals. She is an external examiner for the General Dental Council's Overseas Registration Examination and the BDS program at Kings College London. She also serves as a councillor on the BSODR Perio research group committee and a mentor for various organisations.

Dr Malcolm Farr graduated from the University of Otago Dental School New Zealand in 1986 and has worked as a dentist in New Zealand, UK, and Ghana. He is perusing a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical & Dental Education at the University of Bedfordshire. His interest area is developing endodontics & advanced restorative dentistry. He has been tasked by dental companies to trial their newly developed restorative materials prior to their release to the general dental market. He has also explored the applications of therapies complementary to general dental practice such as Acupuncture & Hypnotherapy as well as treating patients with sleep apnoea with mandibular advancement splints. Dr Farr was an educational supervisor for the Postgraduate Dental Deanery, UK supervising new dental graduates under the Dental Foundation Training Scheme. He is a full-time general dental practicer for about 40 years, a member of the General Dental Practitioners Committee, UK and General Complaints Services, GDC, UK. He also taught advanced restorative dentistry at GIMPA affiliated with the City of London University and has delivered CPD seminars at University of Ghana Dental School. He co-founded Smile4Ghana (NGO) in 2017 to provide free dental screening and emergency treatment to underprivileged communities and is a member of GDDA UK.

Dr Matthew Owusu Boamah is an alumnus of St Augustine’s College, Cape Coast and had his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Ghana Dental School, Legon. He is a fellow of both West African College of Surgeons and Ghana College of Physicians and surgeons. He is a consultant & oral maxillofacial surgeon with special interest in severe odontogenic infections and lectures at the Dental School as well as a clinician at Korle-bu Teaching Hospital. He has been the Head of department of the Dental/ Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 2010 and plays a major role in the management of patients who report to the department. His hard-working nature and dedication to duty was recognized by the management of the hospital and subsequently adjudged the best worker of the department in 2016. Dr Boamah has to his credit several publications, he is prolific academic writer with an impressive list of publications and continues to contribute to other researches of the department geared towards the effective and efficient management of patients. His research interest area is in severe odontogenic infections His background as a theologian comes to play in the holistic management of his patients’ conditions culminating in excellent patient satisfaction. His affable and servant-leadership style has led to an efficient team that respond to emergencies and referrals promptly to save lives. He has led the team to establish a fund that support needy patients.

Dr Pamela Abban Ohene Djan, is a Dental Surgeon of over 30yrs, an educationist, international lecturer, examiner and author. She is a fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Royal Society of Medicine, and has a Master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry from University of Manchester UK. She runs her own dental practice in London where she provides a full complement of dental services as well as non-surgical medical aesthetics. Dr Abban Ohene Djan is a Chief External Examiner for the General Dental Council UK, and a visiting senior lecturer at University of Ghana Dental School, Korle Bu. Her keen interest in good pedagogic principals and assessment led her to undertake a Master's degree in Educational Assessment at the Institute of Education, London. She also has a certificate in Psychometrics in Educational Assessment from University of Cambridge. In 2002, Dr Abban Ohene Djan started her own school, East Airport International School, Accra, a bastion of educational excellence. During the pestilent times of Covid, she authored and published her book, Student’s English Guide, Grammar and Literary Terms. She is an executive member of the Ghanaian Doctors and Dentists Association UK.
