
Dr Adejumoke Adeyemi
BDS, MSc, MFDS RCS Ed, M Perio RCS Ed, FHEA, PhD
Dr Adeyemi is a dental surgeon who obtained her dental degree in 1999 and a master's degree in 2003. She pursued a PhD at the University of Liverpool, where she was awarded Overseas Research Student and University of Liverpool awards (2004-2007). She later became a Clinical Teacher and Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry, and was awarded a NIHR Clinical Lectureship in Periodontology in 2013.
She has been actively involved in teaching undergraduate dental students and postgraduate dental doctoral programs, leading periodontology teaching and assuming various academic and administrative roles. Dr Adeyemi’s research interests include Dental and Interprofessional Medical Education and Clinical Dentistry.
She is the founding lead for the Periodontic Haptic Research Working Group and has published research in various journals. She is an external examiner for the General Dental Council's Overseas Registration Examination and the BDS program at Kings College London. She also serves as a councillor on the BSODR Perio research group committee and a mentor for various organisations.
