Prof. Ebenezer Anno Nyako, was a Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. He was a pioneer Lecturer at University of Ghana Dental School and became Dean from 2019 to 2023. He has over 33 years teaching experience in Dentistry. He was Chairman of the Faculty of Dentistry, GCPS and was Secretary of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of WACS. He worked as a Professorial External Assessor for University of Ibadan and University of Benin, an external examiner for KNUST Dental School, and examiner for MDC. Prof Nyako helped to develop the Dental Technology Program, Dental Assistant, Hygienist and Dental Therapist Programs in Ghana. He was the facilitator for West Africa Health Organization for Harmonization of Dental Curriculum for the anglophone and francophone countries. He is Chief Editor for the Ghana Dental Journal, and on the Editorial Board of Ghana Medical Journal, West African Journal, and Nigerian Journal of Restorative Dentistry. He has 42 research publications and has reviewed some books. He served on WACS council for 4 years, serves on the MDC credentials committee, the accreditation team for MDC, WACS and GTEC and on the faculty board of dental surgery for GCPS and WACS and is a member of the Academic Board of University of Ghana.
