Dr. Ernest Konadu Asiedu, Public Health Physician Specialist (Field Epidemiologist, Health Improvement Advisor and Human/Health Security Analyst) He is currently the Head, Medical and Dental Programme, Technical Coordination Directorate at the Ministry of Health, coordinating the development of the national oral health strategy Prior to his return, he was the Analyst for Health and Pandemics at the National Centre for Coordination of Early Warning and Response Mechanisms (NCCRM) representing the Ministry of Health from August 2021. As the immediate past Head of the Quality Management Unit at the Ministry of Health (MoH), he led the coordination of the implementation of the National Healthcare Quality Strategy (NHQS) within the MoH and across the Agencies of the MoH. I co-chaired the W.H.O Quality of Care/Quality Equity and Dignity Network and coordinated the COVID-19 preparedness and response of inbound travellers into Ghana. He is a registered Medical Practitioner, an Occupational Safety Health and Environmental Management Practitioner. He holds an MPhil. in Applied Epidemiology and Disease Control and graduate of the Advanced Programme of the Ghana Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme He is also product of the Ghana College of Physicians as a Public Health Physician. He is a patient and family advocate, supporting the demand for quality and safety and partnerships between providers and consumers of health and healthcare.
